Trainee Fashion Design Assistant (all genders) | Mannheim

Would you like to put your technical knowledge of garment development into practice and get to know how a fashion label works? With us, you’ll support the design team with technical execution, sample organisation and preparing our photo shoots.

Your responsibilities

Design & product

  • Create and update tech packs: Independently record technical specifications, size charts, construction details and changes completely and accurately.
  • Measure samples precisely: Measure garment samples professionally, compare measurements with the specifications and reliably document any deviations.
  • Manage samples: Organise samples, clearly identify them and keep track of their stage of development.
  • Support fittings: Prepare samples and documents, record agreed changes and transfer them to the relevant tech packs.

Photo shoot assistance

  • Document agreed looks and processes and use them to create a clear shooting plan.
  • Prepare, assign and make outfits and samples available for photo shoots.
  • Assist on set and help prepare and tidy up the photo studio.

Essential requirements

You are confident in independently creating tech packs and size charts and in measuring garments professionally and precisely. You recognise measurement discrepancies and can clearly document technical specifications and changes.

These practical skills are mandatory requirements for the trainee position too. Our onboarding builds on them – basic knowledge alone is not enough.

You work carefully, methodically and reliably, and enjoy the technical and organisational tasks behind a collection.

Important to know

You’ll work closely with our existing design team and get to know our development and photo shoot processes. The focus is on technical execution and operational support – not an independent designer role.

The position is based on site in Mannheim – it is not a remote role.

Womenswear Product Manager (all genders) | Mannheim

Collection, styling & e-commerce · Full-time or part-time from 30 hours per week

We’re looking for a fashion professional with several years of experience in womenswear and practical experience in D2C or e-commerce to help us develop our collections and their presentation in the online shop.

You’ll work closely with our managing director and head of design, as well as our experienced collection developer, who already create the KULTFRAU collections together. You’ll complement this established team with your experience and your eye for the bigger picture.

Your responsibilities

  • Collection & complete looks: Develop colour palettes, silhouettes and product range ideas together. Recognise which styles work together, which additions are missing and what makes a collection coherent.
  • Styling & product presentation: Develop overarching concepts for photo shoots and shop imagery – from complete looks and model selection to visual style, image selection and image order. Coordinate implementation with the colleagues responsible and develop the results together.
  • Analysis & product range: Use sales figures, returns and customer feedback to understand which products, colours and fits are well received – and which are less popular. Bring these insights into the development of future products and collections.

What you should bring

You combine a confident eye for colours, proportions, styling and product imagery with commercial understanding. You have already taken responsibility in your own right and work independently, methodically and reliably.

Whether your background is in product management, collection development, design or buying matters less than your practical experience and understanding of the online fashion business.
